Natrona County experiences bump in graduation rates; state sees small increase

Graduation rates in Natrona County School District jumped to 79.3 percent, a nearly 3 percentage point increase compared to 2015-16 figures and the highest rate here in at least seven years, according to the state Department of Education.

Statewide, grad rates for 2016-17 nudged upward slightly compared to last year, from 80 percent to 80.2 percent. It represented the fourth straight year of growth for Wyoming students and was the highest rate since the 2009-10 school year, when it reached 80.4 percent.
