Downtown readies for busy December

December 1, 2017 in News

Downtown Casper will be abuzz this Saturday as holiday festivities hit full stride.

The seasonal used book sale in the basement of the Natrona County Public Library is the popular bag sale, with loads of gift giving opportunities awaiting.

The sale runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Canvas tote bags brought by shoppers may be filled for $5, while plastic grocery bags full of books and other media will be $3 each. Over-sized personal tote bags may require an additional charge as judged by the volunteer cashiers. Other items for sale in addition to books include movies, music, puzzles and magazines. The sale will accept cash, local checks and PayPal, as well as credit and debit cards.

The Friends of the Library have upped their marketing game prior to this sale, suggesting Pinterest-type gifting and decorating activities like “Advent Books,” giving a child one book each day of Advent to count down to Christmas.
