The winning general contractor selected by the School Facilities Commission Jan. 19, will be Laramie-based Groathouse Construction which came with the lowest bid of $9.4 million.

Groathouse was selected out of seven companies which bid on the project.

A few details have yet to be worked out with the new building including the floors and windows. However, the School Facilities Department did approved more than $500,000 for a renovation of the Intermediate School’s reception area Jan. 19.

  1. Congats to Plan 1, Cody and Groathouse Const. It’s nice to see true Wyo. businesses designing and building “OUR” infrastructure. Approx. 70% of the subcontractors are Wyo. businesses. This is how you keep money in,and circulating in,Wyo. Converse Co., and the good folks in Douglas, have set a great example for us all.
